Veterinary Surgeon
|
Cere Vidal DVM MRCVS
After qualifying in Spain in 2002, I worked at several small animal practices before deciding to move to the UK
in 2007. Since then I have worked in Cambridgeshire, first for a corporate practice and more recently for an independent practice before deciding
to open my own surgery. I have a keen interest in all aspects of small animal medicine, preventative health care, internal medicine,
ultrasound and dentistry, and enjoy doing surgeries as well.
I live with my partner Carlos and Nelo, a lazy cat that stays indoors whenever there is any sign of rain or cold! Away from work
I enjoy walking, reading, travel and most of all spending time with friends and family.

Alice Hurn DVM MRCVS
I qualified as a vet from The University of Nottingham in 2016 and joined the team at Whittlesey Vets in July 2016, after spending several weeks
here on placement as a veterinary student. Though I enjoy all aspects of small animal medicine and surgery, I have a keen interest in dermatology.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, and also my pets- Lord Squilliam, a very lazy but very handsome British Shorthair cat,
and the mad Hettie and Martha, a Clumber Spaniel and Italian Spinone. I also enjoy travelling, dancing, skiing and tending to my three chickens.

My love of animals has been with me all of my life, from the earliest memories of Daktari and Born Free in Africa, on the TV as a child,
to the stories of James Herriot in the Yorkshire Dales. I have had several jobs over the years, ranging from tree surgeon to farm worker,
lambing assistant to leopard tracking and catching venomous snakes in the bush. I have kept bred and worked black Labradors for 30 years.
I have a Labrador and a Border Terrier at the moment, along with a blue cat, small parrot, and a few chickens. I am a fully qualified swimming coach,
and have spent many an hour on poolside up and down the country. I have a daughter studying for her Masters degree, and I myself am going back to college
(yes…..at my age !!) to study for my vet nursing qualification. I have learnt a great deal whilst working in practice, and I thoroughly enjoy it.
We do unfortunately have a few sad times, but many lovely moments with the animals that we see in practice.
I am having a really good time with Cere and the team, at Whittlesey Vets.

I have always had a love of animals and would have a zoo if i could! I decided a career change was needed and in 2015 took the leap to join Whittlesey Vets as a receptionist.
I enjoy greeting the clients and love meeting their furry family members, especially when cuddles are in order. I live with my husband, a dog called Penelope and a cat called
Floyd who do their best to not let me rest or lay in. Making the career change has been the best thing I've done and I love woking with the team here at Whittlesey Vets.
